The post mentions using dates in 1XX subfield $d, but there are birth and death dates now in authority 046 $f and $g which aren't in the authorized access point and wouldn't be added there under current rules. Is there value for OCLC's matching process in having dates in 046 fields which are not the 1XX?

I don't think we're pulling date info from bibliographic records from the 046's yet, but we'll look into it. --Th
